Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar

Upon your arrival at Srinagar airport, a warm welcome from our representative sets the tone for your journey. You’ll be escorted to a Super Deluxe houseboat where you can check in and luxuriate in royal hospitality. As evening descends, enjoy a Shikara ride on the tranquil Dal Lake, soaking in nature’s breathtaking beauty. The sunset over the lake promises to enchant you. End your day with a welcome dinner and a restful night on the houseboat.

Day 2: Srinagar to Gulmarg (85 km / approx. 2½ hours drive)

Begin your day early as you check out from the houseboat and travel to Gulmarg. En route, marvel at the willow trees, swift streams, and verdant meadows. Known as the “meadow of flowers,” Gulmarg offers a stunning vista of snow-clad peaks amidst dense forests of conifers, firs, and pines. Stroll leisurely or opt for a pony ride (at your expense) across the green meadows to reach one of the world’s highest golf courses. The Gondola lift (at your expense) is a must-try for an exhilarating experience. Return to Srinagar in the evening for a comfortable overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 3: Excursion to Sonamarg (90 km / approx. 3 hours drive)

Set out for a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, the “meadow of gold.” The fast-flowing Sindh River makes it a prime spot for trout and mahseer fishing in summer. Consider a pony ride to one of the glaciers for a snowy adventure (at your expense). In the evening, return to your hotel in Srinagar for a cozy overnight stay. Note: Your vehicle will drop you off and pick you up at the Sonamarg car stand. To reach the glaciers, ponies can be hired at your expense.

Day 4: Srinagar to Pahalgam (102 km / approx. 3½ hours drive)

Depart early in the morning for Pahalgam, the “valley of shepherds,” located at the confluence of streams from the Lidder River and Sheeshnag Lake. On the way, visit the ancient Awantipura ruins, a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu built by King Awantivarman over 1100 years ago. Upon reaching Pahalgam, bask in the surrounding beauty or take a stroll to Baisaren, a delightful village nestled in a pine and fir forest with scenic vistas. Return to Srinagar in the evening for an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 5: Departure with Cherished Memories

As your journey concludes, we will arrange your transfer to Srinagar Airport for your flight. Depart with a treasure trove of cherished memories from your Al Hamid Tour Travel adventure.
