Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar

Welcome to the enchanting Lake City of Srinagar. Upon your arrival at Srinagar Airport, you’ll be greeted and transferred to a charming houseboat. After settling in, enjoy a delightful lunch before embarking on a romantic Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Experience the tranquil beauty of the lake before spending the night on the houseboat.

Day 2: Day Trip to Sonamarg (90 km / approx. 3-hour drive)

Start your day with breakfast before heading out for a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, the “Meadow of Gold.” The swiftly flowing Sindh River here is ideal for trout and mahseer fishing during the summer. For a touch of adventure, you can opt for a pony ride to the glaciers (at your own expense). After a day of exploring, return to your hotel in Srinagar for a restful evening.

Note: The vehicle will drop you off and pick you up at the Sonamarg car stand. To reach the glaciers, ponies can be hired at your own expense.

Day 3: Day Trip to Gulmarg (85 km / approx. 3-hour drive)

After an early breakfast, set off for Gulmarg, passing through scenic landscapes of willow trees, rushing streams, and lush meadows. Known as the “Meadow of Flowers,” Gulmarg offers stunning views of snow-capped peaks and dense forests. Enjoy a leisurely walk or opt for a pony ride (at your own expense) across the meadow to one of the world’s highest golf courses. Don’t miss the exhilarating Gondola lift ride (at your own expense). Return to Srinagar in the evening for a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Srinagar to Pahalgam (102 km / approx. 3½-hour drive)

Check out from your hotel and depart early for Pahalgam, the “Valley of Shepherds.” En route, explore the ancient Awantipura ruins, an 1100-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Upon arrival in Pahalgam, take in the surrounding beauty or stroll to Baisaran, a small village set in a pine and fir forest offering magnificent views. Spend the night at a hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 5: Pahalgam Exploration and Return to Srinagar (102 km / approx. 3½-hour drive)

Spend the day exploring Pahalgam, known for its trekking, pony trekking, fishing, camping, and nature walks. In the afternoon, check out from the hotel and drive back to Srinagar. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 6: Srinagar Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, delve into the historical Mughal gardens of Srinagar, including Nishat Bagh (The Garden of Pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), both situated on the banks of Dal Lake. Nishat Bagh, the larger garden, boasts an impressive array of Chinar trees on its highest terrace. Both gardens are designed with central waterways, fountains, and terraced lawns. Spend the night at your hotel in Srinagar.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Srinagar Airport for your flight home, leaving with cherished memories of your Al Hamid Tour Travel experience in exotic Kashmir.
