Journey Through Kashmir: A 6-Day Adventure

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar – Local Exploration

Welcome to Srinagar, the enchanting Lake City. Upon your arrival at Srinagar Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our representative. After completing the check-in process, set out on a local sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Discover the renowned Mughal Gardens, including Nishat Bagh (The Garden of Joy), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), and Chashme Shahi Garden. Visit the historic Shankaracharya Temple. In the evening, enjoy a serene Shikara ride on Dal Lake before retiring for the night at a houseboat in Srinagar.

Day 2: Srinagar – Excursion to Sonmarg (90 Kms / Approx 3 Hours Drive – One Way)

Following breakfast at your houseboat or hotel, embark on a day trip to the picturesque Sonmarg, a scenic drive from Srinagar. Along the way, stop at various beautiful locations before continuing to Sonmarg, also known as the “Meadow of Gold.” Here, you can indulge in horse riding to Thajiwas Glacier, where snow can be found year-round. Sonmarg, the Gateway to Ladakh, offers trekking opportunities to remote villages like Naranag and explorations of alpine lakes such as Vishansar and Krishansar. Return to Srinagar in the evening for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Srinagar to Gulmarg (60 km / Approx 2-3 Hours Drive)

After breakfast, journey to Gulmarg, passing through vibrant villages and lush rice fields that showcase Kashmir’s rich culture. Gulmarg, a premier hill station in India, is home to the world’s highest golf course and Asia’s largest cable car project, the Gulmarg Gondola. The area is also famous for skiing and snowboarding during the winter season. Enjoy an eight-minute ropeway ride on the Gulmarg Gondola, capturing breathtaking views before descending to the base for an overnight stay at a hotel in Gulmarg.

Day 4: Gulmarg to Pahalgam (140 km / Approx 4 Hours Drive)

Following breakfast, head to Pahalgam, known as the ‘Valley of Shepherds’ or ‘Trekker’s Paradise.’ En route, visit the saffron fields, explore the ancient Awantipur ruins (a 1100-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu built by King Awantivarman), and relish the scenic countryside and rice fields. Upon arrival in Pahalgam, check into your hotel. After lunch, take a leisurely walk to capture the stunning mountain views. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 5: Pahalgam Sightseeing and Exploration

After breakfast, venture out to explore the scenic and rugged valley of Chandanwadi and Snow Point (approximately 14 km from Pahalgam). For an added thrill, consider an exciting pony ride (note: these activities are at your own expense). In the evening, return to the hotel and explore Pahalgam on foot. Dinner will be served at the hotel. Note: In Pahalgam, only local taxis are allowed for sightseeing, and external vehicles are limited to pick-up and drop-off services.

Day 6: Pahalgam to Srinagar Airport (100 Km / Approx. 3½ Hour Drive)
